FAQ – Born From Lines

I use your pictures to create a lovely and cohesive drawing that’ll incorporate any family member (living or passed-on), friend, angel baby, or pet.

After placing an order, email your pictures to info@bornfromlines.com and I’ll begin drawing. Once it’s done, you’ll get the finished drawing electronically delivered to your inbox - no printed copy will ship to your home.

When you receive the drawing, you can make edits if needed. When you're happy with the design, you’re free to print it out any size you want (we recommend no larger than 20x24 inches) and make as many copies as you'd like.

To place an order, please visit the shop and find the type of drawing you want. Make your selections from the drop-down menus, fill out the form, and add the drawing to your cart.

After you’ve checked out, please email me your pictures and any special requests or information we’ll need to complete your drawing.

Important details to include:

- Who/what you want drawn (include a backstory if you're comfortable sharing)

- Who has passed and if you wish to add a halo (if applicable)

- Any color scheme preferences (optional)

- Any details from your pictures you wish included

Need time to gather your pictures? You have around 3-4 weeks before I’ll need them, so you have time to collect them together.

A drawing is made from you pictures, which means if I don't received them I can't complete your order.

If I don't hear from you after 6 weeks, I'll make three attempts to reach you via the email provided with your order. If I do not hear back after three attempt, your order will be canceled and payment will be refunded.

Please, don’t ghost me.

You're welcome to reorder at any time.

Yes, you can make any necessary changes once you've received your finished drawing. I offer one round of complimentary revisions on small edits - includes but not limited to: changes in color or editing parts of someone's body (moving a hand or removing glasses).

Any editing requests after this or large edits (includes but not limited to: such as redrawing a person) may or will result in an additional charge.*

If further editing is necessary, we'll discuss these options.

At the end of the day, I want your drawing to turn out just right so let's work together to make that happen.

*It’s at the discretion of the artist what is considered “small” and “large” edit based on time needed to complete the revisions.

You'll get your custom drawing emailed as a digital JPEG file in 3-5 or 6-8 weeks (check to see the delivery timeline on the drawing you're ordering).

I use the email address provided with your order, so please list the correct one.

IMPORTANT: Download and save your drawing as a file on your computer or phone. Saving a drawing as a “picture” on your phone will compress the file and make it smaller- causing potential pixelation issues.

Need your drawing in a specific size or format? Please let me know as soon as possible!

As your drawing is a JPEG file, it can be printed via any home printer or printing business.

IMPORTANT: Download and save your drawing as a file on your computer or phone. Saving a drawing as a “picture” on your phone will compress the file and make it smaller- causing potential pixelation issues.

I recommended using Shutterfly as I've personally used them in the past and the prints always turn out great.

Most customers print their drawings out on canvas or photo paper.

I’ll gladly accept your cancellation and fully refund your order if your order is still pending.

I do not accept cancellations, refunds, or exchange requests on orders that are in progress or have been completed.

I take our customers' privacy very seriously and would never share a drawing without permission. I only share drawings where I’ve received a customer’s written consent.

Your drawings capture very private moments, so I completely understand if you don’t want your drawing shared.

I'll ask you about your preferences when you receive the final product. If you don’t want your drawing shared, please let me know.
